Northumberland County History
This site concerns the history of Northumberland County, Ontario. Please feel free to use the material under these conditions: it's for non-profit use and, if you have material to add or corrections, please let me know (Chris Robins at forge.in.the.forest@gmail.com).

3. Pay records,letters and other records of the Northumberland militia (mostly War of 1812).

Most of the material is from the period 1800-1850 - but other material ranges up into the latter 20th century.
Note: The above illustration is of William Weller's record breaking stage trip in February 1840 - 33 hours and 40 minutes from Toronto to Montreal. Weller was one of the many interesting local people from this time period.
